Heaven's Grocery Store
I was walking down Life's highway a long time ago,
One day, I saw a sign that read 'Heaven's Grocery Store'.
As I got a little closer, the door came open wide,
And when I came to myself, I was standing inside.
I saw a host of ANGLES.They were standing everywhere.
One handed me a basket and said: "My child, shop with care"
Everything a Christian needed was in that grocery store,
And all you couldn't carry, you could come back next day for more.
First , I got some PATIENCE, LOVE was in the same row.
Further down, was UNDERSTANDING. You need that everywhere you go.
I got a box or two of WISDOM, a bag or two of FAITH.
I just couldn't miss the HOLY SPIRIT for it was all over the place.
I stopped to get some STRENGHT and COURAGE to help me run this race.
By then my basket was getting full, but I remembered to get some GRACE.
I didn't forget SALVATION, for salvation is free.
Then I started up the counter to pay my grocery bill,
For I thought I had everything to do my MASTER'S WILL.
As I went up the aisle I saw PRAYER and I just had to put that in,
For I know when I stepped outside, I would run right into sin.
PEACE and JOY were plentiful, they were on the last shelf.
SONG and PRAISES were hanging near so I just helped myself.
Then I said to the angel, now, how much do I owe?
He just smiled and said, "Just take them everywhere you go"
Again, I smiled, and said, "How much do I really owe?"
He smiled again and said..................................
MY CHILD, JESUS PAID YOUR BILL A LONG, LONG TIME AGO..
The Children's Bible in a Nutshell
In the beginning, which occurred near the start, there
was nothing but God, darkness, and some gas. The Bible says, "The Lord thy
God is one," but I think He must be a lot older than that.
Anyway, God said, "Give me a light!," and someone did.
Then God made the world. He split the Adam and made Eve. Adam and Eve were
naked, but they weren't embarrassed because mirrors hadn't been invented
yet.
Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating one bad apple, so
they were driven from the Garden of Eden. Not sure what they were driven in,
though, because they didn't have cars.
Adam and Eve had a son, Cain, who hated his brother as
long as he was Abel. Pretty soon all of the early people died off, except
for Methuselah, who lived to be like a million or something.
One of the next important people was Noah, who was a good
guy, but one of his kids was kind of a Ham.
Noah built a large boat and put his family and some
animals on it. He asked some other people to join him, but they said they
would have to take a rain check.
After Noah came Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Jacob was more
famous than his brother, Esau, because Esau sold Jacob his birthmark in
exchange for some pot roast. ; ;
Jacob had a son named Joseph who wore a really loud
sports coat. Another important Bible guy is Moses, whose real name was
Charlton Heston.
Moses led the Israel Lights out of Egypt and away from the
evil Pharaoh after God sent 10 plagues on Pharaoh's people. These plagues
included frogs, mice, lice, bowels, and no cable.
God fed the Israel Lights every day with manicotti. Then
he gave them His Top Ten Commandments.
These include: Don't lie, cheat, smoke, dance, or covet
your neighbor's stuff. Oh, yeah, I just thought of one more: Humor thy
father and thy mother.
One of Moses' best helpers was Joshua, who was the first
Bible guy to use spies. Joshua fought the battle of Geritol, and the fence
fell over on the town.
After Joshua came David. He got to be king by killing a
giant with a slingshot. He had a son named Solomon who had about 300 wives
and 500 porcupines. My teacher says he was wise, but that doesn't sound
very wise to me.
After Solomon there were a bunch of major league prophets.
One of these was Jonah, who was swallowed by a big whale and then barfed up
on the shore.
There were also some minor-league prophets, but I guess
we don't have to worry about them.
After the Old Testament came the New Testament. Jesus is
the star of the New. He was born in Bethlehem in a barn.
(I wish I had been born in a barn too, because my mom is
always saying to me, "Close the door! Were you born in a barn?" It would
be nice to say, "As a matter of fact, I was.")
During His life, Jesus had many arguments with sinners
like the Pharisees and the Republicans. Jesus also had 12 opossums. The
worst one was Judas Asparagus. Judas was so evil that they named a terrible
vegetable after him.
Jesus was a great man. He healed many leopards and even
preached to some Germans on the mount.
But the Republicans and all those guys put Jesus on trial
before Pontius the Pilot. Pilot didn't stick up for Jesus. He just washed
his hands instead.
Anyways, Jesus died for our sins, then came back to life
again. He went up to Heaven but will be back at the end of the aluminum.
His return is foretold in the book of Revolution.

I understood God to say,

Dear Lord, I thank You for this day, I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning.
I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God..
You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me.
Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought
that was not pleasing to you.
I ask now for Your forgiveness.
Please keep me safe
from all danger and harm.
Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude.
Let me make the best of each and every day
to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.
Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things.
Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over.
And give me the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits.
I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart.
Continue to use me to do Your will.
Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others.
Keep me strong that I may help the weak...
Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others.
I pray for those that are lost and can't find their way.
I pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood..
I pray for those who
don't know You intimately.
I pray for those that will delete this
without sharing it with others I pray for those that don't believe.
But I thank You that I believe that God changes people and
God changes things.
I pray for all my sisters and brothers..
For each and every family member in their households.
I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes; that they are out of debt and all their needs are met.
I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God.
Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight.
I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees it in Jesus' name. Amen!
